Amy & Brian ~ MARRIED!! July 30, 2007

On the most favorite day of the year to be married (7.7.07 in case you didn’t know) Amy & Brian tied the knot at the Canal in Ballard. It was one of our very lovely beautiful sunny (and super hot) summer days here in the city and besides the hour or so we spent over in the Locks taking photos we enjoyed most of the day from the always appreciated air conditioned indoors. (With the sun streaming in through the picture windows overlooking the water of course!)

The wedding couldn’t have been more perfect - Brian his groomsmen were so funny, Amy and her bridesmaids couldn’t have been prettier - the florist was Patty from Pocket Full of Posies and she went above and beyond to make the day special…. but let me tell you about this cake!!! YUM!!!! I don’t remember what company they are with …. (sorry!) but WOW!! It was like a little piece of heaven. I normally try not to eat the cake, but Amy insisted on it and now I am so thankful to her. (Thank You!!) We will have to find out who this amazing woman is and share her cake with the world… (yes it was that good!)

Jackie & Tavi’s Family July 27, 2007

A couple of weeks ago (yes… I am way behind in my blogging!) I was able to go over to Jackie & Tavi’s house in Issaquah to photograph their family. It was a lot of fun because Tavi’s parents were in town for a visit so this was a special photo shoot for them - but it was afterwards when we were talking that reminded me of how much I love my job and why it is so important. Time goes by so quickly and kids grow up so fast - there is hardly any time to document it let alone remember the little details. This photo shoot is going to be so important to Andrea, Christian and Misty in a couple of years because not only did we capture how they looked at this age but also the house they grew up in and their bedrooms and how their parents looked when they were young!! These photographs will bring memories flooding back of all of the fun times they had growing up.

Conscious Body Pilates - Mom & Me July 24, 2007

Hello to all of you new Moms out there!

There is a new pilates class out there and its all for you! Heather Scearce with Conscious Body Pilates {who was voted best in Seattle for the Mom’s & Me Pilates Class by Seattle Metropolitan - (the coolest magazine out there!)} is offering a new class just for moms and babies under 1 year of age.

So, last Thursday I dropped in on the moms and babies during their afternoon workout. I wasn’t sure exactly how it would go… knowing babies usually have an agenda of their own, but Heather was incredible - transforming the workout to fit each person in the class (yes you got it… both moms and little ones!!) They were lifting, twisting and rolling having loads of fun all while strengthening their cores, what a great way to workout and bond with your new baby!! Kate Thomson ~ Seasonal Palate July 21, 2007

Hello!

Last week, I had the honor of photographing one of Seattle’s (and Issaquah’s) finest. Kate Thomson (or you may know her as Kate Wheaton… she is a newly wed!!) she is a personal chef and fabulous caterer, her company is called Seasonal Palate and she does a variety of things. Weekly meals, (for those of you who are like me… and don’t cook) dinner parties, (YUM her appetizers are FAB) and other catered events like art openings, small weddings or family BBQ’s. I have attended a few of Kate’s events and can personally rave about her - she is the greatest!!

So, back to the photos… hee hee - last week we spent about 1/2 an hour wondering around Pike’s Place using fruit and veggie stands along with various cafe’s as backgrounds and then dropped in on the wonderful kitchen at Gaspar’s. Engaged ~ Melodee & Oscar July 13, 2007

Last Thursday Melodee, Oscar and I headed over to Richmond Beach - a place that is very special to Melodee. It was one of our hot Seattle days and we were able to stay cool by the nice cool breeze off the ocean - so nice!!

I cannot wait for Melodee and Oscar’s wedding - they are so loving and incredibly fun & silly together!! (a perfect combination for fabulous photos!!) The wedding will be this August at the Museum of Flight - stand by for photos to follow!!

Kirsten & Ashley! July 8, 2007

On May 26th Kirsten and Ashley had family and friends fly in from all over the country to help celebrate their wedding - and WOW what a wedding! We started by getting ready at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle, then headed out for a little walk on the waterfront stopping for MANY photos along the way. The ceremony & reception were both held at the World Trade Center on the waterfront in Seattle and everything was just perfect!! It couldn’t have gone any better!! One of my favorite parts was the black and white photo booth they had set up right at the entrance perfect for the images in their guest book - So fun!!

Emerson Woodard is here!! July 2, 2007

On June 10th - her actual due date (this never happens) the beautiful and very animated Emerson joined one of my very favorite families - the Woodards! We had her first photo session when she was only 10 days old and it was so much fun spending the morning with Khara, John (proud parents) Laurel (the best big sister) and Amalie (loving and VERY protective dog) in their new home.
