Katie & Todd ~ Married!! September 28, 2007

Katie & Todd met in High School and shared their first kiss in the back of a pick up truck - a very sweet story they shared with all of their guests during their reception at Craven Farm.
If you haven’t been to Craven Farms you really should go and check it out - it is such a gorgeous drive out there and the grounds are amazing. (since I’m not the greatest of writers I’ll leave it up to the photos to tell you just how amazing it is)

Katie couldn’t have picked a better location or a better group of people to work with - Reverend Patrick Callahan (my favorite officiant) performed the ceremony and Austin Beaver (my favorite DJ) kept the dance floor packed until long after I left.

Katie & Todd are SO incredibly cute together and I feel so lucky to have photographed such an important day in their lives.

Eleanor, Hunter and….. September 27, 2007

A couple of weeks ago I spent the afternoon with Eleanor and Hunter (their super cute kitties) and the little bump in Eleanor’s tummy. =) They are so fun and it was so obvious they will be fabulous adoring parents - and since I am so behind in my blogging, you get all of the fun baby details now!!

On September 16th, 7:02am - Hazel Miriam Close - (what a fabulous name!!) was born 9lbs 1oz - they are so good at their blogging, they have everything documented and posted online for friends and family to see!! She has an amazing amount of hair… soooo cute!!

Here are a few of the photos we took just three short weeks before Hazel joined the world!!

(They love their cats as much as I love mine!! They are hilarious too!! This one likes to rest his chin on her shoulder and drools!!!)

Kelly & Robin ~ Married!! September 25, 2007

Kelly & Robin were married on a Friday afternoon in August at their parents home in Bellevue - there was every opportunity for disaster to strike…. the blue angels in town (major road closures), rain in the forecast, road construction (right in front of the front door!)

The day couldn’t have been more perfect!! A friend decorated the (already gorgeous) church with beautiful calla lilies, the sun was out, guests arrived early, and the construction crew was gone long before anyone showed up. (Thanks to Kelly’s Mom!!)

There was plenty of time after the ceremony for formal photos (and the lighting was gorgeous) so we played around in front of the church and got some great shots…. (have I told you it was a great day?!?) Then when we arrived at the reception we were greeted by the cheering guests and what may be called THE best fire roasted pizza EVER. =)

(OOH! one of my favorite little details is that the cake toppers were from her Grandmother’s wedding cake!!)

Its Family Photo Time September 24, 2007

Macy Lammars (one of our friends at Wamu in Madison Park) got a head start on her holiday cards this year and had her entire family get together one fabulous Sunday morning to go down to Bell Harbor (one of my favorite places in Seattle) for some family photos. We tried to photograph all of the different combinations we could think of - grandparents & grandkids - each family & couple individually. It was so nice to see one big family get together and have their photographs taken!

Brianne & Paul ~ MARRIED!! September 8, 2007

Brie & Paul tied the knot this past July at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah - (a super cool location I didn’t even know about!!)

I already knew this wedding was going to be a blast because of how much fun we had at their engagement shoot a couple of months ago, but honestly the day couldn’t have gone better! The weather forecast pretty much guaranteed rain - so Brie’s Uncle/wedding coordinator called me a couple of days earlier to warn me and let me know of the change in plans. (Every wedding needs someone as organized and in charge as him…. THANK YOU!!)

As soon as we arrived their were swarms of friends and family everywhere - setting up, decorating and having fun - we started photos with the girls getting ready and when it was time for the first look it was still dry outside so we decided to push our luck and stay outside until the rain told us it was time to go in. (This is the best part) It never started raining!!!! (okay maybe a little but not until we were done taking photos!) We got some really great photos in front of a fabulous red barn wall and by the gardens… some of my favorite formal photos, you’ll see!

It has been so much fun working with Brie & Paul and getting to see their families again - I was lucky enough to photograph Jenny (Paul’s sister) & Jon wedding 3 years ago this September. Time really flies by doesn’t it!?!?

Senior Photos! September 4, 2007

I had the great pleasure of photographing Caitlin Sylvester about two weeks ago she is a Senior this year and getting ready to start her last year of High School. How exciting!! I am good friends with Debbie Sylvester ( Caitlin’s Mom & my favorite insurance agent with DeFranco-Merril Insurance) and have been hearing about Caitlin and her volleyball stories for the last couple of years, so it was incredibly exciting to finally meet this volleyball legend.
