Aerial Seattle ~ December 28, 2007

I love my job oh, I don’t know…. about 9 of the 10 days in the week (yes, there are that many days in a week when you work as much as I do). Well anyway - last week, Sabrina with LT Creative called me up and said they had a last minute job and hoped I could help them out. Of course - I love fun projects and with this one I got to go up on a float plane!!

So, On Friday December 21st (the shortest day of the year) I met Mirel down at Seattle Seaplanes on Lake Union and we took off about 11am for a short flight around the city. It was SO fun, I haven’t been on a small plane since high school…. and I was quickly reminded after takeoff that I get ehem… motion sick very easily eek!! Apparently with a camera pressed against your face, you can’t really see what is going on & that speeds up the whole fun process. =)

Adam Boesel ~ Total Body Turnaround December 20, 2007

Adam is the owner and the greatest personal trainer at Total Body Turnaround – his green microgym in Greenwood. He is located right off of 92nd & Greenwood Ave. Check out his website - http://nwtrainer.blogspot.com

He has come up with a fabulous idea – you’ll have to have him explain the technical part… but basically the gym will be completely self sustaining - it will be powered by the energy you burn!! Such a smart idea!! He had an opening not too long ago and we each took turns riding on the bike to see how much effort it would take to power a laptop.

Each week he offers personal training sessions throughout the day and group sessions in the evenings – we took some photos many weeks ago when the weather was borderline cold instead of freezing like now (I’m so behind in blogging) at three of his outdoor workouts. They are so much fun, if you want to get in shape and lose those pounds this holiday season before you gain them… give him a call! (You’ll see me there!)

Kathleen & Paul – Married! December 13, 2007

Kathleen & Paul tied the knot on October 27th – it was an amazingly sunny & warm(ish) fall day! They chose the Bell Harbor Rooftop over looking Elliott Bay for the ceremony, it was so perfect - Paul’s mother was the officiant and performed a very unique and emotion filled ceremony. (I loved the reading from the Velveteen Rabbit) After the photos we headed over to the World Trade Center ballroom (my newest favorite place to photograph!) for the reception. All of the details were so fun!! The cake was so amazing and unique, like nothing I’ve seen before and the flowers were by the fabulous floral designer Lea with Florarama who is amazing to work with, such talent!!. Her DJ was so great – playing music you’d never expect at a wedding yet it fit the day so well.

Kathleen is a designer herself – so every little perfect detail she had chosen for the day was fabulous!!

Savvy Solutions - Get Organized!! December 13, 2007

Christa Patchen is the Creator & Owner of Savvy Solutions A Professional Organizing Business. A couple of months or so ago, she called me and asked me to take some photos of her and her new business partner Karen. Christa got married in October (so fun!) and is planning to move north to Canada. She wanted to update the website to introduce Karen to all of their clients. Christa will continue to be very involved with the business, but Karen will run it locally. Karen brings so much to the table having raised children and seeing first hand how truly chaotic real life can be. =) I’ve seen many of their before and after photos – and they are amazing!! They take regular (messy) spaces (offices or homes) and transform them into fun stylish (super important) organized and keep-up-able spaces that are comfortable to be in.

You never know how productive you can be until you have an organized, comfortable, attractive space to work in. =)

Art Opening!! December 6, 2007

Thank you SO much to everyone who was able to make it to the opening in Madison Park on Tuesday - it was a huge success!! So many friends!!

Heather Scearce of Conscious Body Pilates was so gracious as to host the party - Kate Thomson of Seasonal Palate was the PERFECT person to cater the event!!

We even had a fun little drawing (because i love drawings!!) Kiley Gustafson was the winner! He gets to choose any one of the images from the show! Kiley and his beautiful bride Voshte just celebrated their One Year Anniversary!! Congratulations!!

We LOVE Parties!! December 6, 2007

December is the greatest month of the year without a doubt! There are multiple parties every single day, lots of excuses for shopping, bundling up and drinking peppermint mochas! mmmmm….

Last Saturday, the day Seattle was blanketed in snow (okay we got lots of big flakes that landed & stayed for a couple of hours) Stephanie Cristali hosted a fabulous party at her home over in West Seattle - Athena filled the house with amazing flowers, candles, linens - it was amazing - and Stephanie being the fabulous photographer she is had a studio setup for poloroid shots of all the guests!!

Well, after a couple of hours and a few glasses of wine - Laurel (of Laurel McConnell Photography) Blair (of Positive Light Photography & Junebug), Adam & Kim (of LaVie Photography & Junebug) & I decided to do our own little photoshoot. =) hee hee SO Silly!
