While down in Chehalis visiting all of my favorite people I got to meet Baby Ryan! He is such a good little guy, with beautiful blue eyes!! He hung out with us for hours being passed around from girl to girl all while smiling and laughing being so perfect and making everyone want one just like him!!

Just when you think an already wonderful event couldn’t get any better…. it does! Samantha Lawton & Darnell Sue - the creators of Girl Power Hour have continued to amaze us ladies of Seattle. They first started GPH just a few short months ago, a networking hour where girls get together, they network - gossip - win prizes - try fabulous new drinks and of course learn about a new business or in this months case that it is Good to be Green!
Last night (April 17th) was the Girl Goes Green version of GPH - the party was at Sole Repair in Capitol Hill…. WOW!! What an amazing space. (I want it!!!! It would be THE perfect studio!) They not only had MANY featured green businesses such as: Bamboo Beats (seattle’s first green DJ), Interra, Olivine, A Fresh squeeze, Dry Soda and so the entire list HERE,
but they also (I’m SO impressed) had TWO film crews, TWO photographers, & so many models featured in their sustainable clothing fashion show!!

The first 50 lucky gals get one of these little pink tokens to exchange for a swag bag at the end of the evening. This month it was filled with all sorts of goodies!!
The doors opened at 6:30 on the dot and there was a line wrapped around the block… this is what it looked like 10 minutes into the party!!

A sustainable fashion show started about an hour into the party and featured sustainable clothing from Kimmi Design & Olivine Boutique.
There was an Art Institute Student photographing the event as well! YAY AIS!

The Fay family is one of my favorites - when Brooke & I are together its guaranteed to be a good time! (just hang out with us, you’ll see!)
A few weeks ago, Brooke & Jake saw Angela, Albert & Roxie’s photos seen HERE on an earlier blog post, and knew they just had to have some of their little Ruger. For those of you who don’t know, Ruger just happens to be THE coolest dog EVER! Yes, even Vera would think so if she ever met him. =)
So Sunday morning (after Brooke’s b-day party!) we found the energy and headed outside for some family photos. We laughed so hard - we cried…. HILARIOUS!! Check them out!
Erica & Adam may be the silliest people to walk the face of this earth - they are so fun to be around and incredibly entertaining. So I wasn’t surprised when we headed out for their engagement photos (the weather finally cooperated) that we laughed the entire time!
This cute couple has been together for a while now, they built a house together and are already considered family on both sides, so you’d think that marriage was the logical next step. But my favorite reaction to an engagement proposal came from Erica. Hee hee - I laugh now just thinking about it. She was so surprised her response was hilarious! (I’ll let her share it in a comment with us if she wants to….hint hint)

Saturday was an exciting day - I donated a few hours to photograph a wonderful charity auction over on Mercer Island. The event was put together by the wonderful members of Soroptimist and their goal was to raise 40k to build a new children’s playground at the Catherine Booth House. The Catherine Booth house is a confidential emergency shelter for women & children escaping domestic violence.
It was a great experience witnessing first hand all of the people in the community who donated their sunny Saturday afternoon to help such a fabulous cause!

The event was held at the Mercer Island Community Center
The girls from a local drill team donated their time to help set up and to sell raffle tickets!
There were great places throughout the afternoon where you could donate.

You can tell spring is here - because all the girls are wearing those cute dresses and the boys in those super cute pin-striped suits!! Unfortunately that is the only way you can tell spring is here - it is SO cold outside!! But - the day after Easter my favorite tough kids went outside to play just so I could take some photos!!

Carlos & Cathy are getting married!! The perfect reason to go out and do some engagement portraits! =) The other day we met at Discovery Park over in Magnolia we danced, twirled and flew a kite all over the park! It was too much fun, I can’t wait for their big day (coming so soon!).
