Madison Marketeers!
Since 2004 I have been part of a fabulous group called BNI (business network international) – to tell you a bit about what we do:
Each Wednesday we get together in a structured meeting to learn and teach each other about our businesses. We work on our speaking skills, give & receive feedback, launch new products and brainstorm ideas – from all of this, we really get to know one another and are able to pass referrals to help grow our businesses. It is a fabulous idea!! Every small business should know about BNI – such a great tool!
(Plus – you get to meet some really amazing people!!)
Here is a photo of our group as of April 2009 – we were missing a couple of folks that day, but you’ll get to learn about them soon!

I am SO thankful for this group – they have been a huge part of my success over the past few years! So for the next few weeks Wendesdays are going to be BNI Business Spotlight days! =) Each week you will get to learn about one of the members of the group. Soon you’ll see why Wednesdays are my favorite days!
Stay tuned… Christopher Smith will be featured May 5th!
If you would like to learn more about the group – come and visit us! Here is the info:

A couple of weeks ago I spent a fun morning the sweetest family – Rob & Jennifer with their little son Ethan who turned one in January, the greatest Nanny – Jen (who was recently married!) and of course Gracie who is the funniest dog ever! We spent about an hour running around their home, reading books and laughing (my stomach hurt after from laughing so much!)
Here are a few photos from the day – Enjoy!

So – if you are friends on Facebook, you will have seen… Jen & Dan tied the knot yesterday!! (april 22nd, 2009) Whoohoo!! Congratulations!! A few weeks ago we headed out to the UW campus where we were looking for a good combo of fabulous brick architecture (a love of Jen’s who is also a photographer & loves the urban landscapes) and grass, trees & water (dan loves to be outdoors and in natural settings).
We had SO much fun playing around, they were up for anything – so we jumped off stairs, danced through trees and layed on the grass, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day!
They are celebrating their union this October in Hawaii, stay tuned – I’m sure there will be more updates! It was so fun photographing these two – here are a few shots of the cute couple -

So on one of our recent sunny sunny fabulous afternoons I had the privileged of photographing (for the 2nd time…) some of the cutest and most photogenic kids in Seattle! James, Mia & Jude! (you may recognize this terrific trio from my website & postcards!) We spent about an hour in Discovery Park running (and rolling) down hills, jumping around trees and over each other – it was a great day! Here are a few photos from our adventure – enjoy!

On one of those rare days between the rain Cortney, Lyra and I met down at Carkeek Park – (which is SUCH a great place, I really need to visit there more often) we played in the grass, at the playground and of course we had to go down to the beach. It was so much fun – Lyra is SO cute aaaaand we share the same birthday, so of course we already have a great bond!!
Here are a couple of the cute photos from the day – enjoy!

I met Kristin about a year ago and right away we got along famously! She is fun, silly, loves to laugh and tell stories (a few of my favorite things!) so when she told me she was engaged (actually – I saw it on facebook first, hee hee!) I was SOO excited for her & couldn’t wait to meet the man who can keep up with this fabulous lady! Last Sunday I got to meet the man himself and he is indeed as wonderful as she told me!! Together they love to hang out, eat hot dogs (with cream cheese and hot sauce!! hahah!) and do all the same things. These two are PERFECT for each other! I am so happy to be photographing their wedding!!
Here are a few photos from our day out in the sun:

Last weekend on a chilly Sunday morning I went down to Centralia for a (little late) celebration of Clara, Hannah (the fabulous fay twins) and baby Ryan (the adorable boy of Shannon & Andy) turning one!
We had a great time, we played on the floor with all of Ryan’s toys then sat in the grass for a little while in the back yard – we took SO many photos! Here are a few from the morning ~ Enjoy!

Twenty amazing years ago, Lisa saw a cute boy at a party – to get his attention she told him a bad joke and he laughed. That was the moment she knew – Steve was the man for her. Being so young when they were married they didn’t have the big white wedding Lisa dreamed of – while they raised their three girls they often talked of “when we have our wedding” and talked about all the details of how they wanted to plan the party.
A few months back Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer, she battled it with everything she had – but was given the stage 4 diagnosis… the cancer had spread. Lisa has some amazing support, her loving family & her long time friends from work – they found out about Brides Against Breast Cancer & The Making Memories Foundation and told them Lisa’s story. It took only three weeks to put everything together & on Valentines day 2009 – that was the day Lisa & Steve had their dream wedding!
When the girls & I at Get Hitched Give Hope heard about Lisa & Steve we knew we had to help! (BABC & MMF are the places we donate the money raised from our October Soiree) So Eliza & I grabbed our cameras and headed over to Port Orchard to photograph this amazing event.
Lisa, Steve & the girls were more than welcoming! We felt like family by the end of the day!
Here are a few photos from the day,

There were a few articles written about this big day – in the Kitsap Sun - The South Sound Wedding Magazine, Eliza Truitt Photography, Ethereal Events
Brides Against Breast Cancer is an amazing organization – they collect gowns that are new & lightly used from girls, designers and big chains all over the country and hold gown sales. So the ladies getting married can get a great deal on their dress and help grant wishes!! Get Hitched Give Hope along with many other charities work together to raise money for these fabulous folks!! Check out their site to learn more: http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/
In February of this year Brenda and the fabulous friends in Washington State had a special viewing for a special family – Lisa & her three daughters came to pick out a dress for Lisa’s wedding – they arrived at the Bellevue Hilton in a Limo & were greeted with pink ribbon cupcakes, a cart filled with gifts from Macy’s & of course all of the fabulous volunteers at The Making Memories Foundation. You see – Lisa & her family are wish recipients!
Eliza Truitt & I were able to go out and photograph the day – ere are a few photos from the day of trying on dresses, fabulous!!

Marina Rockinger – Reporter & Anchor from Komo 1000 news covered the story – www.komonews.com
