Just two short weeks ago Cathy & Carlos tied the knot at one of my favorite places - The Hall at Fauntleroy. They have been SO much fun to work with (you can see their engagement photos HERE), I just knew their wedding was going to be a blast - (and it was!!) With great people, good food, pigs on the table, super cute buttons, and lots of loud music how could you go wrong?? Plus the sun came out just in time for a few photos after the ceremony!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day ~ Enjoy!

James & Jordan tied the knot on Groundhogs Day this year (so fun!) over in Port Gamble. If you haven’t been to the Port Gamble area - you should plan a day trip over there. It is amazing!!

The entire day was so beautiful - the location, the couple, we couldn’t have asked for more!! Here are a few of the great shots of the day…. Enjoy!!

On January 26th - Anne & Justin met a hundred or so of their very close personal friends at St. Marks Cathedral (gorgeous!!) up on Capitol Hill to help them celebrate their wedding vows. It was a gorgeous cathedral filled with gorgeous people and of course gorgeous flowers too!

The reception was about an hour afterwards (we had to have time for photos!) at the Lakeside wedding venue. (Lake Union) I do have to say - this wedding was filled with so much love, laughter and THE craziest dancers I’ve ever seen!! LOVED IT!! Just wait till you see the dancing photos - so fun!

I had a really hard time narrowing the top images down - I hope you enjoy them!!

Ryan & Amanda ~ MARRIED!! February 16, 2008

Filed under: Photography, Weddings — Barbie Hull @ 9:17 pm

On the 19th of January Ryan and Amanda celebrated their wedding for the 2nd time so their west coast friends & families could partake in the celebrations. The ceremony & reception were at The Clise Mansion in Marymoor Park. It was so much fun - thanks to Austin Beaver, DJ extraordinaire (and in this case wedding planner too!) the entire day ran so smoothly - good food, great friends and a lot of dancing!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day ~ Enjoy!

Kathleen & Paul – Married! December 13, 2007

Kathleen & Paul tied the knot on October 27th – it was an amazingly sunny & warm(ish) fall day! They chose the Bell Harbor Rooftop over looking Elliott Bay for the ceremony, it was so perfect - Paul’s mother was the officiant and performed a very unique and emotion filled ceremony. (I loved the reading from the Velveteen Rabbit) After the photos we headed over to the World Trade Center ballroom (my newest favorite place to photograph!) for the reception. All of the details were so fun!! The cake was so amazing and unique, like nothing I’ve seen before and the flowers were by the fabulous floral designer Lea with Florarama who is amazing to work with, such talent!!. Her DJ was so great – playing music you’d never expect at a wedding yet it fit the day so well.

Kathleen is a designer herself – so every little perfect detail she had chosen for the day was fabulous!!

Enjoy the photos!!

Scott & Courtney - Married!! November 30, 2007

Courtney & Scott are the sweetest couple and had the sweetest wedding planned up on Orcas Island. A couple of weeks before the wedding we went over to Alki for a little engagement session- right away you can tell how in love they are! We had so much fun dancing and twirling around the beach on the perfectly sunny day! (my favorites are of course the shadow photos!!

The Wedding Day!!

It was a rainy October afternoon – but nothing could dampen this party!! There were about 30 or so guests and the ceremony was at the cutest Victorian Valley Chapel not far from where the ferry drops you off. The reception was out at the Moran State Park on the other side of the island under a picnic shelter it was catered by none other than our favorite caterer Kate Thomson of Seasonal Palate. This wedding was like no other wedding I’ve ever been to – we went for a little walk to do some evening light portraits, did a little fishing, and when the sun set on the water and Scott’s father brought out his gift to them. A hand made row-boat!! It was a picture perfect ending to their perfect wedding day.

Here are a few of my favorite shots – enjoy!!

Miriam & Chris ~ Married!! November 1, 2007

Filed under: Photography, Weddings — Barbie Hull @ 10:05 pm

Chris & Miriam were married on a beautiful SUNNY (yet chilly) September afternoon down at Golden Gardens - everything about the day was unique and perfect!

I met the gals at the Locks to do some pre- ceremony photos (which turned out so fun) and then we headed over to the Bath-house where the bride greeted family and guests as they arrived while the groom finished getting ready in the back. The first look was just before they walked down the aisle together- so sweet!!

They had the youngest guest I have ever met at a wedding - Miriam’s sister (and maid of honor) had her little boy just nine days before the wedding…..AMAZING!!

A perfect end to a perfect day we were blessed with a gorgeous sunset and found a moment to run out and do a couple of photos by the water.

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the day - it was hard to choose, I loved them all!!

Elisa & Jeff …. Tied The Knot!! October 18, 2007

Elisa & Jeff – On July 22nd, Elisa & Jeff had their wedding up on Orcas Island, (my favorite of the San Juans) where Elisa grew up.
The ceremony was on a beautiful bluff overlooking the water, and as it does many many days out of the year here in Washington…. It rained!! Everything went through as planned, only a little wetter than normal. =) The reception was amazing – beautifully decorated (thanks to Elisa’s family and friends!!) and the band was SO fun!

Since we were blessed with rain – there wasn’t a lot of time for photos of just Jeff, Elisa and Kayla, we decided to wait for a Sunny Seattle afternoon & get dressed up for a few more photos.

Here are some photos from the wedding day and a few more from the portrait a few weeks later. =)

Jeff was so sweet, during the ceremony he gave a ring (that matches Elisa’s) to Kayla promising to be the best Step-Dad , SO CUTE!

Mike & Shana ~ October 5, 2007

On their one year anniversary Mike and Shana got all dolled up in their wedding wear and we headed over to the very same place they had exchanged vows, embraced in their very first kiss as a married couple and then rushed off to the ER in an ambulance for a couple of stitches before heading to their oh-so-fun reception.

At the end of a Jewish ceremony, the groom traditionally steps on the glass (found this info online) It is a reminder that relationships are as fragile as glass and must always be treated with care, love and respect. -

Well, when Mike stepped down onto the glass, it broke and went straight through his shoe and into his foot…. OUCH!!! But, he was way tougher than many would’ve been, he finished the ceremony with the most passionate of kisses then hopped over to a chair nearby and the ambulance was promptly called. It was a little scary then - but makes for a great story now!!

When we arrived at the Palace Ballroom for the reception we were greeted by every single guest out in the street clapping and cheering for Mike & Shana, it may have been the greatest entrance to a wedding….ever! The party went on as scheduled (just a few hours later than originally planned) the food was fabulous, plenty of drinks and LOTS of cheerful family and friends.

Here are a couple of photos from the wedding day as well as a few of my favorite from our portrait session just a couple of weeks ago. =)

Enjoy!!
