I don’t even know where to begin – Andrew & Courtney are two fabulously lucky and in love people. No joke. Their story is truly a dream!! They met in college – each secretly in love with each other… swearing their friends to secrecy – waiting for just the right moment and that is only part of it!! Their families are WONDERFUL!! And they get along so well that Courtney’s brother married Andrew’s sister!! NO WAY RIGHT?! I love it!!
The day was perfect. Perfect weather, cute couple, happy family, gorgeous venues & a GREAT party!! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day – I hope you love them!!

This year has been an amazing year for weddings (that you will get to see verrrryyyy soon!) in April Ryan & Caitlin had such a fun & unique wedding – it fit their fun easygoing personalities PERFECTLY!! So to start off – they had their reception at the COOLEST space in town – the Georgetown Studios… GORGEOUS!! I do believe they were the very first wedding there – starting it off right for sure. =) It was a daytime wedding with the ceremony over in West Seattle (Ryan’s dad performed the ceremony it was SO sweet and talked about having a good time no matter what – i loved it!) then everyone met back in Georgetown for a milk & cookie (yesssss!) reception including a Wii setup & lots of board games. Eliza & I had SUCH a good time – we got some great shots and had some delicious food!
Congratulations Caitlin & Ryan – I had SO much fun working with you & hope you are enjoying your wedding photos!! Here are a few of my favorites:

Last summer while photographing the Rasmussen family reunion I met Anna Lisa & Jason – as we took the photo of just the two of them we joked that it would be their engagement photo too – well it was! Over this past snowy winter they got engaged!! (I love their engagement story too!) Then on a gorgeous spring day with 20 or so of their closest friends & family they got married!! The ceremony & reception were both at the cutest little house in Belfair that sits on the beach we enjoyed the ocean view and a sweet sweet ceremony (Annemarie Juhlian was the officiant, I just adore working with her) – the setting couldn’t have been more perfect, here are a few photos from the afternoon:

Alaina & Sumit are such a wonderful couple – we hit it off right off the bat and felt more like friends than anything! I can’t even to begin to explain the perfection of the wedding day – people came from all over the world to be here for the celebration, the toasts were incredible, the dancing was FABULOUS & best of all Sumit & Alaina are so obviously in love you can’t help but be happy for them!
I was even more excited after I heard about their wedding crew (working with fabulous vendors makes the day fun and a guaranteed success!) The wedding took place at Lord Hill Farms, the gorgeous custom invites were done by Michelle Loretta of mmm…paper, hair & makeup was by Erin Skipley of Bellatrix Studio, the music for the ceremony & reception was Austin Beaver of Nitelite Entertainment and for the photos I had the pleasure of working with the very talented Jennifer Richard. Their big day was in April and we were SO lucky to have a bright sunny day!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day …. GORGEOUS!!

Every year The Knot (magazine & online resource guide) take a vote – by readers & vendors and for the THIRD year in a row I have been voted in as a favorite!! HOORAY!!
The magazine hit news stands a couple of weeks ago, so if you are planning a wedding anywhere in the US (or if you want to bring a fabulous local photographer with you to your destination wedding) – this is a great resource guide to help you out!

Kelley Moore & Brent Martin invited a few of their close friends to Quebec Canada for a “birthday party” only to surprise them with a fabulous wedding in the Ice Hotel! (amazing!)
There was NO way the rest of Kelley & Brent’s family & friends (fans too of course!!) would allow a top secret elopement without a fabulous Seattle soiree to follow! So one Saturday evening at the Lawrimore Project (in Sodo) many of the local Seattle celebs got together to dance the night away!
Here are (MANY) images from the night, Eliza Truitt & I had soooo much fun snapping the night away there were too many photos to narrow it down to just a few. =)

We started with getting ready at the Sorrento Hotel. – The gorgeous dress & shoes by our local designer Luly Yang

Since the couple exchanged vows in Quebec, they had a close family friend & pastor give a blessing for their marriage – it was incredibly sweet!

Kelley surprised Brent with a cool old car from British Motor Coach - (love BMC!)

The Lawrimore Project is an AMAZING art gallery located just behind Quest Field – the art that evening was an interactive series all about the balance of relationships, perfect for the evening!!

There were so many great local vendors who came together to make the evening what it was – Ice Sculptures, Furniture by Aria Style, Dry Soda, Glassybabies – it was overwhelmingly pretty!

The sweets were so pretty to look at and even better to eat!! Trophy Cupcake & Lisa Dupar, were just two of many pastry artists that evening.

The swanky DJ Leslie of Seattle Parties created quite the atmosphere with her beats. =)

Did I mention the cocktails were to die for? And the guest list couldn’t be beat – I had so much fun chatting with everyone there!!

Many of King 5 News was there – Evening Magazine will be featuring the soiree on Monday May 11th – stay tuned!!

Sheena from Totally Tabletops & her three invisible hostesses were there to assure an effortlessly perfect party!

The artwork was HILARIOUS! (if you sat on the couch by yourself, you’d fall right off!! You need a partner to sit comfortably.)

This night was too perfect! Everyone had a blast & the decor was comparable to none!!
If you check out the newest copy of Seattle Bride Magazine, (page47) you can see/read more about the event!!
Twenty amazing years ago, Lisa saw a cute boy at a party – to get his attention she told him a bad joke and he laughed. That was the moment she knew – Steve was the man for her. Being so young when they were married they didn’t have the big white wedding Lisa dreamed of – while they raised their three girls they often talked of “when we have our wedding” and talked about all the details of how they wanted to plan the party.
A few months back Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer, she battled it with everything she had – but was given the stage 4 diagnosis… the cancer had spread. Lisa has some amazing support, her loving family & her long time friends from work – they found out about Brides Against Breast Cancer & The Making Memories Foundation and told them Lisa’s story. It took only three weeks to put everything together & on Valentines day 2009 – that was the day Lisa & Steve had their dream wedding!
When the girls & I at Get Hitched Give Hope heard about Lisa & Steve we knew we had to help! (BABC & MMF are the places we donate the money raised from our October Soiree) So Eliza & I grabbed our cameras and headed over to Port Orchard to photograph this amazing event.
Lisa, Steve & the girls were more than welcoming! We felt like family by the end of the day!
Here are a few photos from the day,

There were a few articles written about this big day – in the Kitsap Sun - The South Sound Wedding Magazine, Eliza Truitt Photography, Ethereal Events
On a fabulously snowy January afternoon Carolyn & Ian met at the Edgewater on the Seattle waterfront to get ready for their big day! You might recognize these cuties from our snowy engagement session taken just a few weeks before the wedding – if not, click HERE.

There was SO much excitement with the boys on one side of the room and the girls in the other – I just LOVE the getting ready part of the day!! (P.S – the Edgewater has the COOLEST wedding night suite!!)

The ceremony was at the Villa Academy over in Laurelhurst – such a gorgeous venue!! Loved the bagpipers that lead them out of the chapel!!

Back to the Edgewater in the gorgeous wheels of British Motor Coach (love them!) and when we returned the place was stunning!! It was a winter wonderland with a beautifully sparkly cake, gorgeous centerpieces and the room filled with the greatest music played by Austin Beaver of Nitelite Entertainment. (love him!) This wedding had all of the perfect elements in place – now its time for the party!!

Carolyn & Ian did such a fabulous job planning their wedding – it was so much fun photographing and getting to know the two of them!! I thought the photos turned out fabulously and I definitely didn’t do it alone! Eliza Truitt (photographer extraordinaire) & Kiana McCracken (fabulous intern!) played a HUGE part in the day. =) Here are a few photos of them hard at work.
