So I met Heather a LOOOONG time ago at one of the very first Girl Power Hours – she is one of the owners of Marrylicious (an UH-MAY-ZING gift for special poeople/events!!) and since meeting this gorgeous girl she has become a big part of my life!! She is a GIVER (meaning she is a huge part of Get Hitched Give Hope), she has come to visit me at BNI, at Tuesday Toast and a million other places. We will (hopefully) always be friends because she is wonderful!
FINALLY I got to meet her entire family – (SO cute!) last weekend we met down at Alki for a chilly summer photo session. (Thank you guys for being so tough!) It was a fun time of course – who doesn’t love being at the beach!? We talked about how to skip rocks and decided it was something to learn later, we played under a parachute and you’ll never guess this last one… we took a TON of photos!
Okay, I’d like to introduce you to the Klieners :: Heather, Eddy, Bella, E.J & Lola!! Hope you love them!!
I LOVE this family!! Kristin & John are hilarious – and baby Jack… I mean just LOOK at him, he is adorable! Always full of smiles! Right as this crazy heat wave hit us this week, we headed out to Greenlake and spent about an hour diving for shade, watching out for weirdos and enjoying the great people watching… oh yeah – we took a few photos too! ;0)
Congratulations K & J – your baby is ridiculously cute! We want to see him on the big screen! =)
Normally my vacations happen in the winter months for a few reasons… wedding season is in the summer (duh) and Seattle winters can be dreary and a sun break is often needed but NOT this year! This year, June was the month for vacations (and hopefully in the winter too!). The first week of June I was a lucky girl and got to spend an week -give or take a few days in Ketchikan, Alaska – it was SUNNY and gorgeous (very un-like the June of Seattle) and I got to see a few of my very missed friends. (love you guys!)

One other part of this trip – SO many of my friends are having babies… and you can’t have babies and not have photos!!! So the last day there was spent snapping shots at City Park –

This next couple of cute kiddos were brought to us by the beautiful Jody Carson who I have to say… makes the CUTEST kids!! Look at these guys!! Cade (the big brother), Cash (the bluest eyes known to mankind) and Claire (just look at her, she is a doll!).
The first shoot of the day was Addison Cockrum with all of her cousins. — Wouldn’t it be SO fun to grow up in a town with so many of your cousins in your class? I would’ve loved it! – Addison’s parents are two of my favorite people from back in the day, Samantha Bass & Jared Cockrum – can’t wait to see you guys again in August!!!
Last but definitely not least – Claire Ruaro!! FINALLY a Ruaro girl!! And she is a cute one!! So good thing she has a great Dad and a bunch of uncles to look out for her and keep those boys away. =)
It has been SO fun watching James, Mia & Jude grow – this is our third photoshoot!! Every February we get together and it is always a lot of laugh (and an occasional couple of tears).
This year we opted for the Sculpture Park downtown Seattle and thankfully it was a bright sunny day (although VERY chilly) so we were able to do some fun shadow photos (they love them as much as I do!!)

2009 was a GREAT year for family portraits!! This sweet family I was lucky enough to photograph just before the holidays – I have to say, I smiled the entire time while editing these photos because we had SO much fun squishing everyone together, jumping around the house and playing with their cute animals!!

Baby portraits are so sweet and the best part is afterward – designing that album they will look at over and over again!! (That was a favorite thing to do growing up looking through old albums with my sisters.)
This album is for a brand new family, Leah, Ian & Chiara who was born just a few weeks ago – for her newborn gift from her amazing great Aunt Catherine got her a portrait session & her first album!

I have been so lucky to get to know and spend time with Shannon Lassen (Sublime Events) this year – she is an amazing gal with great style and an amazing talent for designing events! Not to mention her stunning family! Shannon & Dave just moved into their new home this fall with their PERFECT little girl Olive. I just ADORE her and when you meet her – you will too! She loves to give hugs. Who doesn’t love hugs from a cute little girl??
A few weeks ago we went for a walk in their neighborhood and it was a lot of fun – just ask Olive! =)
Last year I met Wendy with Divine Tan and she is SO fun!! I love her cool mobile spray tan company – and I’ve been hearing for the past year about her sweet little Lyla and just couldn’t wait to meet her! Well a couple of weeks ago we were able to meet up at Greenlake for a little playdate and it was true… Lyla is the cutest little girl, so full of life (and energy!) she kept us running for a full hour!! Too fun!
Jen & Isaac are such a cute couple!! They met through BNI (which I love!) they were married a year ago last May in Montana and finally moved back to Seattle about a year ago. All year we watched as Jen’s belly grew and grew – with an original date of September 23rd we thought we had plenty of time to do their pregnancy photos – but when I received the phone call in early September from Jen saying we’d better do it this morning I was SO excited!
So we set up a little studio in their living room and snapped some beautiful portraits – and created some beautiful art.
Then – 32 short hours later they met little William (Will) Thomas Gaspar born September 3rd, 2009 7lbs & 6oz – 19inches long (and incredibly handsome!) Then two weeks later I was able to visit them and took a couple of photos – he is SO sweet!!
About two years ago I met Chris & Miriam and we hit it off right away – I was lucky enough to photograph their engagement portraits (see here) and soon after their BEAUTIFUL wedding (see here) and nine(ish) short months later – little baby Xavi was born!! Well now he’s walking and talking and HILARIOUS!! Last week we all spent an hour playing outside their new home and laughed the entire time, here are a few shots from the morning – enjoy!
